Taisho Roman Cold Tea Cup

A glass cup with an elegant silhouette that is suitable as a cold teacup or even as a bowl for vinegared dishes or appetisers.

Taisho Roman glasses feature a milky-white pattern that is naturally obtained using the Aburidashi technique, which involves the shaping of glass in a patterned mould to create opalescent-coloured designs on the glass surface. It is rare to find glassware made using this technique, with the exception of select antique glassware shops.

大正浪漫ガラスは、明治大正時代に盛んに行われた日本独特の成型方法で作った乳白色のガラス器です。ガラスの中に特殊な原料を入れ急激な温度差を与えることによって乳白色に発色させて作ります。
