In Japan, Oshogatsu (New Year) is a spiritual renewal. The traditional feast, Osechi Ryori, is prepared not just for flavor, but for meaning. Presented in a jūbako (layered box), every ingredient is a symbol—a wish for health, prosperity, and happiness in the year ahead.
We invite you to enjoy this authentic cultural experience in the comfort of your home or office.
The First Layer symbolises Celebration & Longevity: Features Whole Abalone Braised in Sake, symbolizing prestige and longevity , and “Divine” Prawns, representing a long, happy life.
Whole Abalone Braised in Sake (鮑の酒煮) Signifying prestige and longevity; sake represents purification and blessing.
Kami no Ebi “Divine” Prawns (海老) The curved back symbolizes living a long life into old age, filled with happiness.
Hokkaido Gyoren Scallops (帆立) Representing the "opening" of good fortune and honest success.
Whole Peeled Snow Crab Claw (ずわい蟹の爪) Symbolizes triumph and "grasping" opportunities.
Yamajyu Ikura (いくら醤油漬け) Bright jewels representing prosperity and a thriving lineage.
Tamagoyaki (玉子焼き) Golden layers representing accumulating wealth and growth.
Snow Crab Shell Gratin (蟹甲羅グラタン) A brimming shell representing fullness, abundance, and warm hospitality.
Edamame & Seaweed Salad (枝豆と若布) Green for vitality; seaweed for resilience and building good bonds.
The Second Layer symbolises Prosperity & Vision: Includes the golden Datemaki, shaped like a scroll to wish for learning and career growth , and Lotus Root, providing a "clear vision for the future" through its open holes.
Miso Hamachi (味噌はまち) Known as the "promotion fish," eaten to wish for rising status and career success.
Datemaki (伊達巻) Rolled omelette shaped like a scroll, symbolizing learning, mastery, and culture.

Kuri Kinton (栗金団) "Golden Mash" with chestnuts; a sweet wish for wealth and windfall luck.

The Third Layer symbolises Joy & Abundance: A sweet finish with Bamboo Leaf Custard Mochi for resilience and Persimmon Cake, where the dried fruit’s patient sweetness represents success ripened in time.
