ACTUS häuse Exclusive Japan Limited Series J39 Chairs
Limited to 200 pieces in Japan of which only 4 are allocated to ACTUS häuse in Singapore.
J39 is a chair designed by Børge Mogensen in 1947. It is a wooden chair with a hand-woven paper cord seat. In order to make a chair for citizens which is reasonably priced yet of high quality, Mogensen spent many years designing this piece.
The simplicity and versatility earned J39 the nickname “people’s chair”. It is just as popular amongst the Danish as the Y Chair is amongst the Japanese.
To celebrate the 70th birthday of the creation of Børge Mogensen‘s reknown J39 Chair, and the 150th anniversary of Japan’s diplomatic relationship with Denmark, ACTUS häuse is selling the J39 Chairs with unique serial numbers.
