Maruni’s Timeless Classic Chairs in Les Amis Group’s Latest Sumiyaki Restaurant - Jinjo

Les Amis Group officially opened their latest addition to its collection of restaurants at Shaw Centre, Jinjo. It is a modern sumiyaki restaurant serving traditional Japanese fare presented with a contemporary spirit.

atomi is happy to supply two iconic chairs – Hiroshima armchair and Hiroshima armless chair. These made in Japan chairs from Maruni Wood Industry’s Hiroshima Collection and designed by Naoto Fukasawa, exclusively available in atomi.

Maruni’s Hiroshima Collection features chairs and tables with simple, subtle structures that highlight the natural wood used. They envision the pieces to be used everywhere, with no restriction as to where they can be placed. They can fit into spaces with different design concepts.

In the case of Jinjo restaurant, the Hiroshima armchairs in beech whitish wood for the counter seats create a contrast between the dark brown and dark stone tops at the respective counter areas.

The Hiroshima armchair features the gentle curve from the back and along the arm. The tapering sides of the arms and the seat of the chair are accentuated by the beauty of the light shining on their surfaces.

For the other seating, the Hiroshima armless chair with a compact form is chosen. The chair is in beech wood upholstered with orange fabric. Together with the other interior fixtures, they make the restaurant one that is welcoming and provides guests with a homely dining experience.
