After four years, atomi is honoured to collaborate with Tadanori Yoshimoto again. From fan art, and other art pieces such as table top pieces, atomi is bringing in many exciting new designs for the exhibition. The exhibition will be taking place from 12th July to 12th August 2018, featuring a wide collection of Yoshimoto's work.
Tadanori Yoshimoto was born in 1947 in Hiroshima city. He graduated from Nihon University College of Arts. He has worked as an art magazine editor, after which he continued to pursue his interest in art as an active art coordinator. He is also a fan writer and a novelist.
In 2002, he held his first solo exhibition in Toyko. He also started his annual exhibition at Mitsukoshi department store in Ni- honbashi, Tokyo in 2005. He released his novel “花 影 (shadow of flower)” in 2010. In 2013, he held an exhibition in collaboration with other artists such as Akimitsu Tomonaga, a molding artist, as well as Kazuhiro Ooide, a fashion producer.
In February 2014, Yoshimoto exhibited his fan art in Paris. He had the first solo exhibition abroad at atomi in Mandarin Gallery, Singapore in the same year. In 2015, he had a solo exhibition at Miyajima ’s well-established ryokan “Iwaso”.
He is now an advisor to Adachi Museum in Shimane, Japan, which is known for its beautiful Japanese garden.
